Abstract:
Archive refers to a collection of historical records, and also refers to the location in which these records are kept. While Trusted Document Authority (TDA) is a central repository for electronic documents providing Meta information to manage documents, set up authority level of registered document, and issue certificate proof for the registration of document. Leveraging vast experiences in providing Government Integrated Telecommunications Network (GITN) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for Malaysia Government, this paper outlines a framework of applying TDA concept in enhancing Malaysia e-Government to ensure trusted documents. The application of TDA shall not be limited to historical records, but also for active documents for public access.

This is a concept paper which includes a general framework of TDA, the application of TDA in some industries, a concept implementation of TDA in Malaysia e-Government, and benefits and future TDA service for Malaysia.
